"I can coat my model rocket with polyurethane to give it a shiny finish?
I built and painted a rocket Estes Alpha. I painted with paint acrylics with an airbrush, but would like to give a smooth glossy finish. I found some Minwax fast drying polyurethane finish throughout the house. Can this type of finish is used in a model rocket? If I can not use?
Yes, you should be able to use. But the first test a small area as fin. Just to be sure not to lift the acrylic. Do not soak with a thick layer at first. Many use Promise rocketeers finished floor. Is it not a wax but a real finished product. It dries bright and self-leveling. Note anything that will make use of any blank area slightly yellowish.
