How I can prevent the coating from getting out of George Foreman Grill?

I've had the grill for about a month (and I use it twice a day, every day). Lately I've noticed a little black layer comes from the areas of selection. As a result, when I'm trying to clean debris meat stick to the areas and its much more difficult to clean out. I usually give the plastic cleaner / holder thingy to remove large pieces, and then take a damp cloth and scrape the rest – and I try to be friendly as possible. Any other suggestions?

It is coated with Teflon and once it is clear that is beyond repair! provided they have not used a metal scraper or a metal scouring pad in it, just held for a month! then I presume it is still under warranty, and you are entitled to a replacement machine. Or failing. a full refund of your money. Try to find the receipt and bring it back to the place of purchase! Good luck.
